My field research and graduate work at Cornell was funded exclusively by grants. I also completed a (scintillating, I swear) graduate seminar on the craft of writing grants.

  • FLAS Fellowship, U.S. Department of Education, awarded for summer 2007 research in Nepal

  • Einaudi Travel Grant, awarded for 2006 research in Nepal

  • Cornell Graduate School award for 2005 language study at Cornell University

  • Asian Studies Department award for 2005 language study at Cornell University

  • FLAS Fellowship, U.S. Department of Education, awarded by South Asia Program for 2005-06 academic study at Cornell University

  • Sage Fellowship, awarded for two years of graduate study at Cornell University

  • Freeman Fellowship, awarded for 2001 ethnographic field research in Vietnam.
